Noosphere is a philosophical concept developed by French philosopher and Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, described as “the sphere of thought encircling the earth that has emerged through evolution as a consequence of growth in complexity/consciousness.” Haunting, meandering melodies of far distant conceptual worlds are woven together with the intimacy of hand prints of ochre-red earth. The shamanic voicing of Stephen Nachmanovitch bekons improvisers Yuny Park on Korean Gayageum and Fakih Kademaglu on Sufi Ney, hailing from countries at distant ends of the Silk Road, to delve deep into their cultural roots.
